On 12 May 2008 earthquake occurred in Sichuan province of China, resulting in tens of thousand dead and hundreds of thousand injured. RUSTEEL Company grieves for the dead, and offers condolences to the Chinese people over the tragedy.

Basing on the principle of social responsibility of the business, RUSTEEL Company has made a decision to contribute money to the Red Cross Society of China. The company donated 300,000 RMB (over US$40,000) in favour of the victims of the earthquake. In addition, the company’s employees in the cities of Beijing and Zhuhai contributed over 8,400 RMB (US$1,200) on their own.

One of the main orientation of RUSTEEL social policy is the support of children and youth, and the company hopes that the contributed funds will be used for the benefit of children who lost their parents in the tragedy.

RUSTEEL carries out social responsibility policy in the area of support for children and youth. Since 2003 the company took under its patronage seven children institutions. We strongly believe that by taking care of the rising generation today, we provide a promising future to our society.
